Established in 1994, AusSpan is a Tasmanian based company specialising in Asset Management including Level 2 Condition Inspections & comprehensive Reports detailed in an Asset Management database on a diverse range of structures including bridges, culverts, footbridges, viewing platforms & marine structures.

Our staff have achieved both VicRoads and ARRB Accreditation as Level 2 Inspectors and have a combined 75+ years’ experience in the field of Asset/Risk Management. Furthermore, each has had a considerable background in bridge construction prior to undertaking these inspection roles. For Level 3 inspections we liaise with specialist engineers for a more detailed assessment.

Our client base comprises of State Government and Local Government including 28 of Tasmania’s 29 Councils, Sustainable Timber Tasmania (formerly Forestry Tasmania), Hydro Tasmania, VicRoads, Private Companies, Landowners, and others. Based in Tasmania, we work interstate having completed works for CHIRRP and WRRG Road Regional Groups in Queensland as well as the Hay Shire in NSW. Using our unique Bridge Management System, we currently assist our clients with the management of approximately 4,800 bridge structures. This aggregates to a multi-million-dollar asset. AusSpan also offers extensive infrastructure management services including inspection and rating of structures, the preparation of maintenance and upgrade recommendations, and the creation of inventory management systems. Reports also include maintenance and renewal budgets for up to 20 years.
