VicRoads technical consulting offers a range of technical training courses to give staff the skills and knowledge to implement technical solutions to engineering challenges. The courses rely on the latest standards, policies and technical information available and are provided by practitioners and subject matter experts with thorough knowledge in planning, investigation, design and construction.

We currently inspect a diverse range of structures including bridges, footbridges, culverts, pontoons, wharves, jetties, viewing platforms and basketball rings.
Our staff have achieved VicRoads Accreditation as Level 2 inspectors and are greatly experienced in the field of Asset Management. Furthermore, each has had a considerable background in bridge construction prior to undertaking these inspection roles. For Level 3 inspections we liaise with specialist engineers for a more detailed assessment.

AusSpan employs a dedicated staff of inspectors, technicians and consulting engineers charged with the responsibility of ensuring the upkeep and safety of approximately 3000 bridges and a variety of other structures across Tasmania and Victoria.
AusSpan currently provide our inspection services to 28 of Tasmania's 29 municipalities, as well as to the State Government, Sustainable Timbers Tasmania, Hydro Tasmania, VicRoads, Private Companies, and Private Landowners. We currently assist our clients with the management of approximately 4,800 bridge structures.
